VEN: COVER REVEAL

Ven
by K. Webster & Ker Dukey
Publication Date: June 29, 2018
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Dark, Mafia, Romance

Synopsis
The Vetrov name comes with expectation.
My role in this world is simple: do as Father asks and live my life how he planned it.

My future is already written: run the empire.
Old Values. Old Rule. Old Money.
Until her.

Everything I do lacks purpose.
Everything I do is empty.
Women. Money. Power. It meant nothing.
Until her.

When the Volkov rose showed up at my home a disgraced package, hand-delivered by a Vasiliev prince, I began paving my own path.
I vowed to make her bloom once more.

She consumed me.
Her. Her. Her.

But you can’t love a rose and expect not to be damaged by her thorns.
She cut me too deep.
And I bled out.
My soul fled.
All that’s left is a cold, calculating monster.

I am Veniamin.
Volcanic. Victorious. Valiant. Vetrov.
When you enter my world to play games, prepare to lose.
In the end, I always find the thorn in my side, and I pluck it right out.

About the authors

K Webster is the author of dozens romance books in many different genres including contemporary romance, historical romance, paranormal romance, and erotic romance. When not spending time with her husband of twelve years and two adorable children, she’s active on social media connecting with her readers.

Her other passions besides writing include reading and graphic design. K can always be found in front of her computer chasing her next idea and taking action. She looks forward to the day when she will see one of her titles on the big screen.

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles...prepare for the unexpected.

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up.

My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.

When I'm not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I'm a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

WILLOW WINTERS INTERVIEW & GIVEAWAY!

Hello everyone!  I have had the pleasure of interviewing Willow Winters recently.  She is a USA Today, Wall Street Journal and #1 Contemporary Bestselling Romance Author.

From what her bio states, “She likes her action hot and her bad boys hotter. She certainly doesn’t hold back on either one in her writing!”.  This I can definitely attest to!!

So, lets begin!

How would you introduce yourself and your writing to new readers?

W:       I would say, I don’t care who you are or what you typically read, you should give my books a try.  They make you feel and hopefully stay with you long after the   book is over.  That’s my goal with every book and I truly believe I write books everyone should read… and their grandmother too.

When did you start writing and what was the first book that you ever wrote, not necessarily the first ever published.

W:       Scandal, now unpublished, was the first book I wrote about 5 years ago.  I waited another 2 years (had a baby and got preggers with number 2 in the meantime) before finishing it and taking publishing seriously.

To date, out of all your books, which one do you hold closest to your heart.  Why?

W:       Possessive, a particular character in it is based off of someone in my real life.  I don’t wish to elaborate at the moment.

Merciless, my latest always leaves my heart raw.

And now I’m literally just moving backwards in my publishing order.  I love every   book I write.  Every single one.

You did a rebranding recently.  What does this mean for you and us the readers?

W:       I wanted a new look that signified the emotional side of my writing.  When I moved wide, I wrote my heart out because I truly thought I was starting over. And the books feel different, so I wanted to separate classic Willow with my current writing.  I’ll be publishing on both still, but I wanted to make the difference in the writing known.

Your most recent release is called Merciless.  You were more than excited for this book to be released.  What does this book mean to you and can you tell us anything about it without spoilers (of course)?

W:       I can tell you you’ve got to read it.  Carter is my most demanding anti-hero I’ve ever written and you’ve never read a character like him before.  It’s intense and he will captivate you…

What can your readers expect from you this year?

W:       My best work.  Every book I strive for bigger and better.  Edge-of-the-seat gripping books that stay with you long after the books are done.  I’ll do my best to make you feel what the characters feel and ensure that love will conquer everything, not matter how dark things may get.

How did publishing your first book change your process of writing?

W:       Well publishing doesn’t necessarily correlate with my writing - I see them as separate tasks.  I have a business side, the marketer and publisher and then the artist side, the writer.  I will say some business decisions effect my artist side, but I do my best to keep them separate.  I write for me and not the business.  I hope it always stays that way.

How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?

W:       Two.  My first and oldest book is unpublished.  And I have a novella, Infatuation, that I intend to make a novel and write a series based on it’s world sometime in 2019.

What does literary success look like to you?

W:       Continuing to have the desire to write, even when the business is daunting.

Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with bad or good ones?

W:       Yes.  I have voodoo dolls.  Just kidding.  I try to focus on constructive criticism so I can improve my writing as well as the positives from readers.  With anxiety of my upcoming release, reading the reviews has been a true blessing.  And I’m so thankful for readers who write reviews.  Both constructive and positive

I want to thank Willow Winters for taking the time to answer these questions.  I also wish to congratulate her on her most recent release Merciless.

I enjoyed this book so much and want everyone to have a chance at reading this thrilling and exciting book in a new series.

I will be gifting 2 e-books of Merciless.  All you have to do is add it to your TBR and comment below to tell me its done!  Optional:  Like & Share!!

Willow Winters is so happy to be a USA Today, Wall Street Journal and #1 Contemporary Bestselling Romance Author. She likes her action hot and her bad boys hotter. She certainly doesn’t hold back on either one in her writing!

Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.

In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

Blurb:

“Must be slim, able to stand for long periods of time, and be impervious to the cold.”
The headline caught my attention.

“Hours are negotiable, pay is minimal, clothing absolutely forbidden.”
The second line piqued my curiosity.

“Able to hold your bladder and tongue, refrain from opinions or suggestions, and be the perfect living canvas.”
The third made me scowl.

“Other attributes required: non-ticklish, contortionist, and obedient. Must also enjoy being studied while naked in a crowd.”
The fourth made me shudder.

“Call or email ‘YOUR SKIN, HIS CANVAS’ if interested in applying.”
The final made my heart race.

I should’ve kept scrolling past the advertisement.
I should’ve applied for the boring receptionist job at minimum wage.
I should’ve clicked on any other job where I got to keep my clothes on.
But I didn’t.
I applied.
My interview is tomorrow…

REVIEW, EXCERPT & BLOG TOUR: The Girl & Her Ren

The Girl and Her Ren
by Pepper Winters
The Ribbon Duet Book 2
Publication Date: June 5th, 2018
Genre: Coming of Age Romance

Synopsis:

“What do you do when you write down all your secrets? No…that’s not enough. What do you do when you write down all your secrets and the one person who should never read them does?
I’ll tell you what you do.
You hope.”

REN
Ren didn’t know the meaning of love until he took Della for his own.
To begin with he hated her, but as the months bled into years, he learned the opposite of hate, dedicating his life to giving her everything.
Every sacrifice, every gift, he gave wholeheartedly.
But then love turned to lust and ruined everything.

DELLA
I was stupid to write my secrets down, but I’d been stupid before so it was nothing new.
I couldn’t blame him, hate him, fix him.
I tried to move on without him.
But no matter what I did, I couldn’t seem to delete the secrets I’d written.
Until something happened.
Until he came back and read my stupid secrets.
And nothing was the same after that.

MY REVIEW ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This story blew me away.  It’s real and so very beautiful in its dichotomy of simplicity and complexity.  A story for the ages that will go down as the best duet/story I have ever read.  The ante has been upped and it will be difficult, near impossible for this story to be outdone.  As result, this duet will ALWAYS own a piece of my heart.

Right from the very beginning, this book made me feel every desperate heartfelt emotion I’ve ever felt.  I felt the deepest of despair to the most profound devotion.

It is a remarkable story that transcends time and space but yet hits so achingly close to home.

I loved being part of Ren and Della’s journey.  Their story pulled me in and wrapped itself around my heart and squeezed, never once letting go.

Ren’s character, I fell in love with.  Throughout everything, he puts Della first.  Everything he does and says leads him back to his true love.  He never falters.  He is resilient and so very real.

Della is so very smart and strong.  She is the perfect match for Ren.  She loves him as desperately as he loves her.  I felt their love as if it was tangible, something real.

This a powerful and undeniable story of life and love and its very finest.  Recommended for everyone but especially those who truly believe love conquers all.

Please note that this is the second book in a duet.  The Boy & His Ribbon must be read first.  To read my Review of The Boy & His Ribbon, click here.

I received an ARC of this book.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

EXCERPT

The fallen papers crunched beneath my boot as I shifted my weight, leaning into her, seeking an answer. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

She flinched, her eyes closing beneath an avalanche of pain.

This hurt.

Everything hurt.

“Della…please.” My calloused thumbs caressed her silky-soft skin, catching on her young perfection with my older imperfection.

Ten years separated us.

Ten years was an eternity when she was a babe and I was a boy, but now…it no longer held such power. I refused to let it because I didn’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t touch her the way I was touching her now.

She laughed quietly, full of torture and tragedy. “I did tell you. In a roundabout way.”

“You didn’t.”

“But I did.” She dared meet my eyes. “I never understood how I could touch you, hug you, kiss you, and you never knew. I didn’t know how I could hide my jealousy when you were with Cassie or later with your one-night stands. I lay awake at night analysing every sentence I said to you, amazed that you never heard what I’d been shouting for longer than I could remember.”
