REVIEW: Your Chorus

The following is my review for Your Chorus the fourth book in the Sherbrooke Station series.  If you are looking for a solid, heartfelt read, this book is for you.

Pub Date: May 1, 2019

Synopsis

Spending three weeks on a bus with your boyfriend, his rock band, and their entire tour crew: possibly a bad idea.

Spending three weeks on a bus with your ex-boyfriend, his rock band, and their entire tour crew: definitely a bad idea.

But with the contract signed and the gigs all booked, Roxanne Nadeau finds herself heading out on the road as the accompanying violinist for reigning rock gods Sherbrooke Station, despite being on less than cordial terms with their bassist.

Not that the situation comes as a surprise. Roxanne and Cole’s near-constant on/off status has become a longstanding joke among their friends, and while the eight years of history between the two might suggest that resistance is futile, Roxanne’s determined to make this breakup their last.

Cole’s equally convinced he can use the opportunity to win her back for good.

Some conniving band-mates, way too many long drives, and the insanity of tour life all turn the bus into a pressure cooker that would detonate even the most stable of relationships. The explosion is inevitable; it’s how much of themselves they can salvage from the rubble that Roxanne and Cole will need to figure out.

 MY REVIEW

Your Chorus by Katia Rose is another emotional and heartwarming book in the Sherbrooke Station series.

We finally get Cole and Roxanne’s story and it was worth the wait. This on again, off again couple had me intrigued from the very beginning of this series.

With all the passion and love that is shared between them, what was stopping them from making it permanent?

We are given the opportunity to explore their pasts as well as their many ups and downs in this final instalment into the series.

This couple must fight to keep together and fight they do. But, they are fighting the wrong battle and thus risk the chance of losing everything they are fighting for.

Katia writes their history with so much angst and feel. You just want them to be together and stay together.

I loved how quiet and passionate Cole was. Although he is the quietest of the band, he feels so much more than you would think.

I had a love/hate relationship with Roxanne. I felt as though at points she was stringing Cole along. I didn’t feel as though she knew what she wanted.

I loved and enjoyed reading this story, but found towards the end, it dragged a little. Cole and Roxanne’s eventual reconciliation, for me, was too far delayed.

This was a wonderful end to an amazing series. I’m sad to see it go but so very excited to see what this author comes up with next!

I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Katia Rose is not much of a Pina Colada person, but she does like getting caught in the rain. She prefers her romance served steamy with a side of smart and is a sucker for quirky characters. A habit of jetting off to distant countries means she’s rarely in one place for very long, but she calls the frigid northland that is Canada home.
