MY REVIEW

Vas is the third and last book in the V games series.

Vas is protective and caring but no less vindictive than the other men in this world.

Darya, is one woman, besides his sisters, that he would do anything for. But in this world of power, nothing he does may be enough.

Darya is alone in this evil world run by vicious and cunning men. She is used and abused and sorely in need of a champion.

Vas, although not always there, has been kind and supportive. She basks in his protectiveness.

Although fate made these two for each other, the men of this world may just keep them apart.

This book is so absorbing and it simply grips you. It is also so well written you can’t tell where one author ends and the other begins.

The twists and turns may just shock you. Yuri had me gasping and the Vasilieves get-togethers were pure entertainment for me.

Vas is a hero you swoon over. Strong, vocal, protective and pure alpha male. I love the fierce loyalty he has for those he loves.

Darya is meek and unsure of her place due to the fact that she has been used her whole life. I loved how she blossomed and came to life while with Vas.

A wonderful final instalment into the V games. I’m sad to see it end.

Side-note: I desperately need a story for Vika!!

my review ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Emilia has a traumatizing past that she escaped from years ago and yet she is still dealing with the aftermath everyday. For all her bravado, she does not feel safe or protected.

“I’m not a good man. I know who I am, and I don’t pretend to be anyone else.”-Giovanni

Giovanni is a man seeking revenge. Unable to bring his prey out into the open, he demands the man’s sister, Emilia, reach out to him.

When they meet each other, the attraction is instantaneous and distrust is paramount. The passion between them is red hot.

Will Giovanni be able to help Emilia overcome her past once and for all? Or, will the distrust and secrets between them tear them apart for good?

This was an emotionally gripping read that packed a punch. It is told in dual POV.

The topics it covers are written tactfully but could still cause triggers.

The plot is a little slow but there are a lot of hot & steamy scenes to keep you company along the way.

I was disappointed somewhat in the ending. It felt a little rushed. There is really no clear wrap up as to why Giovanni was so actively seeking Emilia’s brother. It was never fully explained.

I am also wondering about Giovanni’s dad. It feels like he is a loose end. Why did he approach Emilia? What was his exact motive?

Giovanni. My heart is in his hands. For all that he is brutal, he is a protector first and foremost. He shows this in the way he always and continuously comes to Emilia’s aid in every way. He is her rock. Her protector. Her Lover.

Emilia is strong yet broken. I loved that even though she was scared a few times, she never backed down. My favorite part is when she comes full circle with Giovanni. She finds in him what she has been looking for since she left home.

This was an entertaining read that I enjoyed thoroughly. I cannot wait to see what Natasha Knight puts out next.

MY REVIEW ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ven by K Webster and Ker Dukey is the second book in a wonderfully sinful and addicting series

Diana Volkov has been let down and betrayed by every male she has ever trusted... Suffering from the loss of everything she once held dear, she turns to an old friend, Ven.

Ven has been obsessed and in love with Diana since she first kissed him many years ago. Now that there is nothing standing in his way, he is willing to do anything and everything to make her his.

Will Diana trust Ven enough to let down her walls or will she suffer her biggest loss to date?

Ven was epic and visceral. Totally consuming.

It is a no holds barred read that I enjoyed immensely.

Diana: I am flabbergasted by how complex her character is. She is brilliant, self-sufficient and strong-Absolutely solid. I think I may just have a lady boner for her.

She is a compelling character.

I love that even through her hatred for Vika she shows compassion and caring toward her in a time of need. Diana will go down as one of the best heroines written to date.

Ven, Ven, Ven. He is my love to hate him hero.

I cannot forgive what he did to Kira. But, I loved that he wants to protect Diana and did not judge her as so many of the other men in her life had. I also absolutely loved the way he loved Diana. Completely, fully and without reserve.

A mix between The Hunger Games and Game of Thrones, Ven will blow your socks off.

My review (4.5 stars!)

Words are elusive to me right now.  I was just transported to a dark, dangerous, action-packed world full of deceit, revenge and outright violence.  Through it all, an illicit, clandestine, dangerous, almost obsessive love unfolds. Welcome to the Russian Mafia where cunning, power and ruthlessness rule the day.  How can a forbidden love ever thrive?

I’m in awe.  I’m speechless.  I don’t know what I was expecting to read but this- THIS was SO not it.  It was so much more.  It was a completely absorbing, riveting, exciting page-turning read.  It was violent, gritty, angsty as well as carnal and sexy.  The mounting anticipation had my heart racing wondering what would happen next.  

All the characters are flawed.  They are shaped and molded by complicated family dynamics and the life they must live.  A few of the scenes gave me pause.  The actions the characters chose to do sometimes grated.  I did not agree with them or the measures they took to get what they wanted.

This is not a hearts and flowers kind of love.  It’s an all-encompassing, dirty, ruthless, take-no-prisoners kind of love.  Vlad and Irina will be together regardless of consequence, duty and anyone who may step in their way.

Vlad is an antihero. He will not be denied and he will not lose.  He is Vasiliev and he will not be crossed. He is shrewd and plays everyone around him like a master puppeteer.  He does not have much humanity or care.  Until he meets Irina.  She turns his world upside down on its axis.

She is his sun and he circles her like a planet.  But unlike a planet, his orbit gets closer and closer until they crash together and explode in a fiery explosion of passion and lust decimating anyone or anything that gets in their way.

Irina aka Shadow for being in the shadow of her sister, is an introvert.  She is unaware of her beauty.  Under the masterful hands and care of Vlad, she breaks through her cocoon of self-doubt and security.  She comes out of the shadows and comes into her own.  From a timid kitten to an outright tigress.

This story is the first in the series and is told is dual POV.  It is captivating and engaging. In my opinion they have started off this series with a BANG!  I’m eager to devour the next instalment.
