Review: Four Knights in Alaska

Here’s my review for Four Knights in Alaska by
Nyna Toney.  If you love enemies to lovers as well as menage, you’ll want to give this one a look!

Four Knights In Alaska
An Interracial Enemies-Turned-Lovers Menage Romance
Author: Nyna Toney

Just as the Alaskan town of Accokeek is expanding, so too are the aspirations of its entrepreneurs. It takes money to make money, though, and that’s where Yvonna Knightley’s services come in. She’ll gladly loan her clients the money they need provided that they play by her twisted rules.

Falling in line seems like the only option left for three best friends who make the mistake of borrowing from her in the first place until they discover a way to hit her where it hurts. In no time at all, Walter Phelps, Andrew Hamilton, and Paul Fassinger strike up a plan to get even, and, given the injustices suffered in the past, these men aren’t just interested in money for their silence. However, things go awry almost immediately during their four-night rendezvous in a small cabin north of town when Yvonna refuses to make anything easy for them.

With Walter obsessed with doling out his own brand of questionable justice and Andrew thinking that his good looks will do all of the work for him, Paul finds himself constantly wondering if he even has it in him to go far enough to make her change her ways at all. Likewise, it becomes harder and harder for Yvonna to justify her cruelty toward her former clients when they prove to be more human than she had previously given them credit for. The four will discover that they have more in common than they think with each passing day and will find in place of their hatred something entirely new and unexpected.

MY REVIEW

Four Knights in Alaska is a debut novel by Nyna Toney about friendships, forgiveness and change.

Yvonna Knightley is a ruthless loan shark. Lending money to those who have been denied by legal avenues.

She is a hard, take no nonsense woman. She will play you before being played.

This is what she does to three men who have borrowed money from her.

Andrew, Paul and Walter are three men who are tired of being played and toyed with by Yvonna.

When a plan is hatched by the men to force respect and understanding from Yvonna, she may yet teach them some life lessons of their own.

This was an amazing read that I enjoyed from beginning to end. The writing was amazing and flowed well.

It has an original plot and storyline and although this story involves the three men and one woman, I must say, the story didn’t revolve around the sex. Rather a story of vengeance and forgiveness both of oneself and others emerged. A truly remarkable read.

With that being said, I did want more character development. I wanted the author to delve a little deeper into their pasts to explain their behaviour. Especially Yvonna’s. I also would have loved an epilogue. Although it ended with a HEA, it was abrupt and I was invested enough to want a glimpse of their future.

I really loved these characters flaws and all. This book is one to add to your TBR and the author is definitely one to look out for.

I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
