MY REVIEW
The Devil's Advocate by Ashley Jade is sexy,
devious and HOT! It is an intensely dark read that I couldn't and still can't
get enough of.
I loved every second of this book. The twists
and turns, characters and plot had me turning the pages well into the night.
This is the second book in the Devil's
Playground series and must be read in order. It is told in multiple POV and I
must say this added to the enjoyment of the book.
I was intrigued by each character's personality
and was glad I had a chance to see thing through each of their eyes. It added
depth and intensity that I think the book wold have lacked otherwise.
This second book continues the ill-fated story
between an innocent and broken young woman, Eden, a charming narcissist, Cain,
and the man who swears vengeance on him, Damien.
These three have enough baggage to fill a bus.
Hurt, betrayal, vengeance and lust are the name of the game.
Two very bad men and one innocent angel. Who
will come up on top?
This book is angst-filled and captivating. It
is dark and may have triggers.
I enjoyed seeing Eden's metamorphosis from shy
and fearful to capable and strong.
Cain. Love him or hate him, you can't help but
want to know more about his twisted character.
Damien is full of vengeance and hatred but his
character is more complicated than that. He has a darkness that seems to be
tamed by Eden.
This is a fast-paced story that is all-consuming.
Recommended to those who like a dark,
compelling read with characters that are far from innocent.
